We have partnered with Paymentus Corporation, a third-party automated payment service that accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Electronic Check to accept payments over the phone and through the web portal.

How will my payment be confirmed?
Groton Utilities will receive instant notification of your payment and it will be a pending transaction on your account until the next business day. For each payment, you will receive a confirmation number and an email confirmation for your records.
Autopay is available for both Groton Utilities and Bozrah Light and Power Customers. Have your payments scheduled to be paid automatically each month.
- Drop it off in our overnight lockbox located at the top of the stairs on the left side of the building after hours
- Come into the office during our normal business hours
Bill-Pay From Your Bank
Pay with eCheck. Make payments from your checking or savings account using your bank's website. You pick the payment date.
Call 860-446-4000, Option 1, and you will be linked to a secure automated telephone payment system powered by our bill payment partner, Paymentus Corporation.
Please enter your seven digit account number, without the dash, as shown on your bill. If the number in the account number field is only six digits you need to add a "zero" in front of the last number.
Example: Account Number: 123456 needs to be entered as 1234506
