Demand Response Programs
Groton Utilities can help you save energy through a regionally
sponsored program that provides cash incentives for electricity
users who voluntarily reduce electricity consumption during
peak times of the year when our electric system is severely
constrained and the price of electricity is very high.
Groton Utilities currently offers cash incentive programs
to residential and commercial & industrial electric
users who are interested in voluntarily curtailing electricity
consumption. Voluntary curtailments occur in a very few
number of times during the year (typically in the summer
months when the temperature and humidity levels are at their
highest). These programs require little effort and can deliver
significant financial incentives.
